Brian Beadman

Brian worked with the Toronto Police Service (TPS) for 30 years, and held numerous senior positions, including Detective and Internal Misconduct Investigator, and is the Founder and President of JKB Investigations Inc., a private investigation company based in the Greater Toronto Area.

As a Detective, Brian gained extensive experience working in the criminal investigative bureau, special investigations services, and the integrated gun and gang task force. He was also immersed in various wire-tap investigations, undercover drug and confidential source management operations, and with the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario (joint force organized crime initiatives). During his tenure with TPS, Brian also worked as an Internal Misconduct Investigator, investigating numerous cases pertaining to misconduct allegations, service governances, the occupational health & safety act, human rights, and workplace harassment files. In addition, Brian has gained considerable experience providing court testimony, and provided over thirty guest lecturer appearances throughout the province to various policing and education institutions in the areas of source handling, facial recognition, drug investigation techniques, court testimony, gang investigations, the Canada Evidence Act, criminal intelligence threat assessments and case law interpretation.

In 2020, Brian’s experience and passion for solving investigations led him to start his own company, JKB Investigations Inc., where he now provides his expertise, knowledge and skillset to all of his client’s investigations. His experience as a detective and an internal misconduct investigator, along with his expertise as an accredited interviewer, sexual assault investigator, confidential source/agent handler and surveillance operator, make him a highly capable and successful private investigator - no matter the case.

Over the years, Brian has developed a strong network of highly experienced former Detectives and Detective Sergeants, who have gone on to become Private Investigators with long track records of success. Brian utilizes this team of expert investigators on a case-by-case basis to help further enhance his clients’ experience throughout the investigative process.
